Skills & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques for pediatric disorders within your discipline

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, caregivers, and other team members to ensure a collaborative and client-centered approach.

​Responsibilities

  • Conduct or participate in comprehensive assessments to evaluate the abilities of pediatric clients

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders in children

  • Provide direct therapy services to children

  • Collaborate with families to set goals and establish home programming to support progress and generalization of skills

  • Document client progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for team meetings and IEP/IFSP meetings.

  • Collaborate with other professionals on our team

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with current research and best practices

  • Advocate for children's needs and provide education and support to families and caregivers

  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the profession and maintain confidentiality of client information

Qualifications/Experience: 

​Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply)

  • Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)

Physical Therapist

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy (minimally)

  • Valid state license or certification in Physical Therapy

  • Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)

Occupational Therapist

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Valid state license in Occupational Therapy

  • Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

  • Experience working with pediatric populations (Preferred)

Early Childhood Educator

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field

  • Valid state certification or licensure in Early Childhood Special Education

  • Experience working with young children with special needs

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and evidence-based instructional strategies

Location

Our clinic is located in Dover, Delaware. However, we have opportunities across the state for school district contracts or community-based services. 

Locations include:

  • Clinic-Based

  • Community-Based

  • School Contracts 

  • Mixed (for example, 2 days in clinic and 3 days in a school)

Compensation

  • Competitive salary (hourly rate or fee for service- dependent on therapist preference)
